CCCA collects and retains only the personal information/data that is required to meet our purposes. The type of information/data we may collect includes contact details and address.
CCCA uses and disclose personal information for the reasonable purposes associated with establishing and managing the employment relationship between the individual and CCCA (payroll, recruitment, and to meet legal, security or regulatory requirements), or
CCCA generally obtains prior consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information/ data, except where otherwise required or permitted by law. Consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances. CCCA (staff, counsellors, or board members) have an obligation to protect private information (including client personal data) and should not share it outside the intended purpose it was provided or collected.
Upon written request, CCCA will inform an individual about how his or her personal data in CCCA’s custody or control has been and is being used and disclosed, including the names of individuals and organizations to whom the information has been disclosed, and will give the individual access to the personal data, subject to any limitations as permitted or required by law. CCCA authenticates the identity of the person seeking access to personal data before providing access.
